Meeting Schedule:

• Tuesdays: Valorant

• Wednesdays: League of Legs

• Thursdays: NBA2K and Rocket League

Location: Matches are usually held at home.

Rangitoto College's Esports Club provides students with the opportunity to engage in competitive gaming activities that offer a bl of camaraderie, competition, and skill development similar to traditional sports but with less physical exertion.

Esports is defined as competitive video gaming, involving both individual and team-based games organized into tournaments by various companies throughout the year. In 2022, key competitions include Valorant, League of Legs, NBA2K, and Rocket League. Additional tournaments later in the year are expected to feature Legs of Runeterra and Teamfight Tactics; previous years have also seen CS:GO, Clash Royale, and Dota 2 featured.

Notably, our school boasts a remarkable track record in Esports. Most recently, we topped Australasia in League of Legs competitions and were crowned champions for the inaugural Valorant tournament last year. Prior to COVID-19 disruptions, selected teams received all-expenses-pd trips to Australia for competitive events, including flights and accommodations, along with opportunities to win high-quality gaming equipment.

Participation is via announcements on dly notices leading up to each season or competition kickoff.

The Rangitoto Summit Diploma encourages students to play a full esports season for at least one game while atting more than half of the matches. This engagement can be added to their academic profile.
