Hti, one of the founding members of Concacaf and the second Caribbean team to qualify for a FIFA World Cup, has made its mark on the regional scene.
Following an undefeated record and securing first place in qualification rounds, Hti competed in the Concacaf Nations League A but struggled to mntn their position, ultimately being relegated due to managing only three draws and one defeat agnst teams such as Costa Rica and Cura?ao.
The path to the FIFA World Cup in 2021 saw Hti progress through to the second round before Canada successfully ousted them in a two-leg series.
Hti's most memorable moment was reaching the semifinals of the Concacaf Gold Cup in 2019, showcasing their best performance ever at that tournament.
The national team's football history dates back even further than that, with Hti participating in the inaugural Concacaf Championship held on its own soil in 1973 and winning the tournament.
Hti has also been a regular participant in Concacaf's Gold Cup era, especially impressive was their run to the semifinals in 2019 which remns their best-ever showing.
The national team for women has played regularly at continental level since Concacaf Women’s Championships began, with Hti making half of its appearances in this tournament. The 1991 tournament held in Port-au-Prince saw Hti achieve a fourth-place finish, setting the highest mark so far.
